![]() Normally, it should make your life easier as it condenses multiple 8-pin PCIe power connectors into one neat little connector but in reality the connector is proving to be quite impractical. This tiny connector is capable of delivering 600 W of power continuously, and briefly take 200% excursions (spikes). The fact that ASUS has moved to an IPS based display, from an OLED display on the current UM3402 SKU, also suggests that this might be a cheaper model in ASUS lineup.ĭespite sticking with PCI-Express Gen 4 as its host interface, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 "Ada" graphics card standardizes the new 12+4 pin ATX 12VHPWR power connector, even across custom-designs by NVIDIA's add-in card (AIC) partners. Then again, this is a lower-tier CPU, so it's possible that this is the reason for lack of USB4 support. Beyond that, we don't know any specifics about the CPU, but one thing that stands out and may or may not be correct, is that the Zenbook 14 is only listed as supporting two USB 3.2 10 Gbps USB-C ports, rather than USB4, which seems a bit odd. According to Videocardz, it will be using an AMD Vega based GPU. Based on AMD's CPU model name "decoder", the Ryzen 7 7730U is based on a Zen 3 or a Zen 3+ core that sits in the 15-28 W TDP range. The remaining specs appear identical to the current model, but this is clearly not a typo, as the CPU SKU is mentioned at multiple points on the product page. A quick search for the Zenbook 14 SKU in question reveals that the current UM3402 model has a Ryzen 5825U processor. As AMD has as yet to unveil such a CPU, it appears that ASUS Turkey has gotten ahead of things. Something that Plex used to be many moons ago.ASUS Turkey has jumped the gun and revealed ASUS' upcoming Zenbook 14 laptop, which in itself might not be a big deal, but the UM3402 as the specific model is known as, will apparently be available with an AMD Ryzen 7 7730U CPU. It's constantly getting updated and, best of all, it's free. I know I sound like some Emby sleeper agent or something, but it just comes from years of frustration dealing with a laundry list of media servers, centers, programs, and applications, and after all this time, it's nice to finally have one that just works. Why is my ps4 not showing up on universal media server tv#It only takes a few clicks and he's watching my TV channels and I don't even notice. Hell, I can even stream LiveTV to my friends house just by setting up a guest account and sharing out the IP. Anything from my HTPC to my Nexus Player, it plays perfectly every time. But the real beauty about Emby is its ubiquity across all devices. It took, I dunno, maybe 15 minutes to have everything completely set up the way I wanted it to. It worked, perfectly, right out of the box. ![]() ![]() As I said above, I've had zero problems with Emby. Since then, I've completely dumped it and now use Kodi (XBMC) and, recently, started dabbling in Emby. It's slow and cumbersome, setting up new devices and servers are a pain in the ass, and it seems like since its inception, they've just been going backwards. I bought their apps and had it running on everything I owned, but about a year or so ago, I just got fed up with it. They were one of the first to transcode content on the server side before pushing it to the client instead of just pushing the entire file. I've been with Plex since 2010, a little bit after they forked from XBMC, since they were (at the time) the only ones who could stream HD content over a network. I know it's to each their own, but I've never had a problem with Emby (aka Media Browser). ![]()
